Stuff & Stitch at the Zoo

Doc McHannon Stuff & Stitch

Hattiesburg (February 5, 2020) – The Hattiesburg Zoo is stitching together a day of repair for your favorite stuffed animals with a new event, Doc McHannon Stuff & Stitch. The event will be on February 15, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The Hattiesburg Zoo veterinarian, Dr. David “Mc” Hannon, will be available for all emergency surgeries on your precious stuffed animals. He will be checking all vitals, fixing rips, tears, and small holes and giving them a good fluff. Once they are back in tip-top shape, they will receive a clean bill of health and official doctors excuse, and a special zoo bandage for their boo-boo.

You will also be able to adopt one of our real zoo animals and/or a new stuffed animal, and will receive a personalized animal adoption certificate. All proceeds will benefit the sloth exhibit expansion.

Hattiesburg Clinic Connections serves as the sponsor for Doc McHannon Stuff & Stitch. This event is included with zoo admission. Annual passes will apply. For more information you can follow the zoo’s Facebook and Instagram , and visit
