Clyde Bryant

Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1957, Clyde grew up in east Hattiesburg and graduated from Hattiesburg High School in the class of 1975. He attended William Carey University on a baseball scholarship, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Education.

After college, Bryant spent two years in the finance business, and then seven years in the automobile business before establishing an Insurance and Financial Services business, Clyde Bryant Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1989. On September 1, 2020, Bryant celebrated 31 years in business.

Bryant’s community service involvement includes serving as a Hattiesburg Convention Commissioner and on the Forrest General Hospital Foundation Board. His past service includes the Hattiesburg Public School Board of Trustees, Forrest County Industrial Park Commissioner, Area Development Partnership Board, United Way of Southeast Mississippi, The Public Education Forum of Mississippi and as Secretary of MAEPAC (State Farm Agents & Employees Political Action Committee), USM Foundation Board, and past Basileus of the Phi Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
His memberships include Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Area Development Partnership and NAACP Life Member.

Clyde and his wife, Tanya have three children, LaToya, Al and CJ.
